Many different types of chairs are available for Gothic home decoration. Throne chairs can be used as accent pieces, and work well near hearths, fireplaces, and as focal points at the end of a grand hall dining table. Gothic-inspired benches can be placed near doorways or in mudrooms as a convenient place to sit down and remove shoes, coats, hats and gloves. They also provide storage for these items below their seat. Cross-frame chairs are delicate and work well in smaller rooms and cornes, where they won't overpower. Obviously, corner chairs work equally as well in this way. Armchairs and plush library chairs are great for reading books and watching television. Gothic style sofas are hard to find, although some Victorian furniture stores may have settees that blend well with Gothic decor.
